Podcasts aimed at explaining about biomedical research and the use of animals and the 3Rs are cropping up online and via Twitter. Lab Rat Chat, supported by Americans for Medical Progress (AMP), is a podcast dedicated to providing facts to the public on the need for humane and ethical animal research. In one of the episodes they interview Helen Diggs, senior director of EARA member AAALAC International, on why AAALAC has been "so critical to the continued evolution of animal care and use standards." While 3 Minute 3Rs is a monthly podcast summarising research and news in 3Rs science and technology, created by the National Centre for the Replacement Refinement & Reduction of Animals in Research (NC3Rs), the journal LabAnimal and the North American 3Rs Collaborative.
