An important webinar discussion on the implications of calls for a phase-out of animal research in Europe takes place tomorrow.
The event, The future of Life Science research in Europe – how animal and non-animal approaches can contribute (09:30-12:00 CEST) is supported by EARA, and will bring together scientists to look at the current advantages and disadvantages of animal and non-animal research methods, as well as ethical questions. Register here.
It follows on from a debate, held before MEPs last summer, that also discussed the value of accelerating the phase-out of animal research, something the European Parliament voted on in 2021.
The joint event is hosted by the French National Alliance for Life Sciences and Health (AVIESAN), the Alliance of Science Organizations in Germany, the Netherlands Organization for Health Research and Development (ZonMw) and the Dutch Research Council (NWO).
