Biomedical Research Awareness Day (BRAD) takes place next month for the second time this year.
Organised by Americans for Medical Progress (AMP), the initiative on Thursday, 16 September, will highlight the importance of animals in biomedical research with some in-person events.
To enroll your institution in these celebrations, fill in this form. Registration fee is $25, but is waived for EARA members (register here).
A free BRAD webinar “From Monkeys to Children: What Nonhuman Primates Can Teach Us About Psychiatric Disorders”, presented by Margaux Kenwood of University of Wisconsin - Madison, USA, will form part of the celebrations on 16 September, 12h30pm ET. Registration here.
The event follows a successful virtual BRAD celebrated in April on social media, with a collection of personal stories from patients about diseases and medical conditions (see stories here).
